About our puppies

At Bent Birch Farm we take great pride in our Pepper & Salt Giant Schnauzers and strive to produce sound, healthy, and well socialized puppies. Our puppies are painstakingly home-raised and that takes a tremendous amount of time, effort and expense so we tend to have only one litter per year (or less). Our puppies are $3000 - $4000 and are generally ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age (sometimes older if ears are done and may need more attention) and will have been or will have had:

Tail docked
Wormed
1st Vaccinations
Veterinary Health Certified (in writing)
AKC registration (limited/unlimited)
Five generation pedigree
Microchipped
*Ears cropped - optional and an *additional fee
Grooming lessons are unlimited and free, by appointment (on our premises or at a show)

Personal pick-up preferred but shipping is available at buyer’s expense

We do require a contract and it is to be signed prior to pick-up or shipping. Our ‘pet’ contracts require spaying or neutering and are provided a “limited” registration. Our ‘show’ prospect contracts do not require neutering of course, but generally do require a co-ownership stipulation. (We do occasionally place dogs/puppies in “foster" homes but that is usually females whereby they come back to us for showing/breeding at our expense.)

We stand behind all of our dogs and require our puppy/dog owners notify us immediately upon any problems or issues. A Bent Birch Farm puppy/dog is NEVER to be sold or transferred to anyone else without our knowledge.

If you are interested in a puppy from us or would like more information, please fill out our Questionnaire or go to the contact us page.

This exciting litter is a breeding from frozen semen. Wotan was known to be a healthy athletic Giant with superb conformation and disposition. He was imported from Germany by the Hopf family of Australia (Muchener.net) and was the beloved companion of Feli Hopf. In 2007 they were so very kind as to allow us to import Wotan's frozen semen so that we may allow his genes and legacy to live on.

His daughter Tessa born 2008 lived to be just 2 months shy of 13 as did 4 of her litter mates. She was a healthy happy charming lovely girl who tried her best at everything. Sadly we were unable to get her to conceive.
